Do you happen to remember what non-motorized watersports the Whyndam had? Was planning to take out kids (3&7) to theSheraton, but maybe the Whyndam would be just as good and a bit cheaper!

Also, did you appen to spot sand toys? Not sure if we'd need to bring them?

Sorry I missed your 2nd question. I didn't see any sand toys, but that doesn't mean they didn't have them. There just weren't any kids there when we were there.

$20 taxi is if there is a shuttle going ($5 pp). Otherwise, It's $18 for 2 ppl plus $3 for ea. add'l person.

Not sure about kids pricing. It used to be 1/2 prices when the price was much higher. At $20, I don't really know.

Word is that much of the outside is shut down (tiki bar, swim up bar, etc.. and last I heard the slide was not operating).

here's the local number

(242) 327-6200

You can ride the bus if you want - it's $1.25 per person each way or do the taxi at $5.00 per person each way.

I don't know about the tiki bar being open but the DJ was playing music and the waterslide was open! We had a blast on it!

I read on another thread that the Wyndham is now charging $30 and you cannot use the Sheraton/Melia property any more because they are doing an "all inclusive."

Does anyone know what the new deal and price is at the Sheraton/Melia?

So if the Melia doesn't sell day passes at front desk anymore, is anyone sure if the ones for sale on "Cook a tour Bahamas dot com" will be honored?

Also, the Dream leaves at 2:00 (I know, whaaaattt??????). Do you think it's worth it for family of 5? It looks beautiful, and we'll have a sea day the following day.

I just got off the phone with Melia in Nassau 2 minutes ago.

$30 day passes are still available

$50 with lunch at O'Grill

$75 with lunch at the indoor Buffet.

All available at the front desk. I asked about 3rd party vendors and the agent didn't know anything about them one way or the other.

I have friends staying at Sandals at he same time we will be in port does anyone know if we can get day passes, how much they cost and what is the best way to get there from the ship

Sandals is couples only.. and costs $110 per person for the (10 - 5)

Easiest way to get there is to hop on the #10 jitney for $1.25pp.

Or grab a cab for about $20 for 2 ppl.

I, too, am looking for a resort day pass. We are two couples that are NOT kid friendly. We've done the Hilton so want something new. From what I've read on this thread, most of these resorts are kid friendly. Anyone know of one that has day passes but not overflowing with children? Thanks!

Anyone know if Melia is still offering day rooms? Used to be able to get a room for the day for $99? TIA

I called them last week, they said that they no longer offer day rooms.
