I have loved the review and the photos, especially one that was photo bombed. LOL

Seriously, your review and photos are very helpful as we plan on our Dec. 13, 2014 cruise on the Freedom. I know it is scheduled for some changes, but I've loved seeing it as it is now.

Thanks for all of the beautiful views of the ports and all of your activities. Your review is one that I will be reading again between now and Dec.

Thanks Jane... It was fun adding you guys to the review.... enjoy your cruise... it will be here before you know it.

Great review and pictures. In your pictures I notice you and your wife did not seem to get sunburned, what type of lotion did you use?

Very interesting question... Vanda is a natural blonde so she just seems to naturally tan.. she never uses suntan lotion much to my chagrin ! I usually use an 8 and then a 30 on my face...

Great review and really awesome pics! I'll be on Freedom in October and have been to several of these ports....sounds like I'll have to get to Coki Beach sometime for some quality snorkeling time...the last time I was there it was during a snuba excursion next door at Coral World (excellent excursion, too), BUT I forgot to bring my own snorkeling gear with me at that port.

Yes we saw the Aquarium from the beach but we didn't go over to check it out. We always bring our own gear!

Thanks, Sayvan, for sharing your cruise with us. We're sailing on the same ship/intinerary in about four weeks (can't wait!!!!).

As mentioned numerous times in this thread, your photos are absolutely AMAZING :). Totally loved the photo bomb!! Seems that your timing (or perhaps theirs?? :D) was perfect! Your narrative was informative, fun and very engaging.

I admit to spending a lot of time on CC and Les was curious about how I could possibly find this "stuff" so fascinating. So... I shared your review with him... and he finally gets it :p Yay!!

Thanks,

Leets

Me, too; it fits nicely in the bottom of a drop-bottom duffle bag and I used it at Grand Turk. Alas, I had NO idea that snuba excursion, besides 90 minutes of snuba time, also included 90 minutes of free time to explore Coral World and enjoy Coki Beach. It was quite a good deal.

Great review! Thanks for taking the time to post it. Having sailed Freedom in the past, it was great to see the ship again. When you post the review of your 30 day cruise, will you post a link here? I would enjoy following it as well.

Thanks again and happy travels. :)

Hi,Thanks so much the the info. about Havensight docking in St. Thomas. I prefer this dock. There is a good discount liquor store across from the dock I like to go to,and I can walk to the downtown area from there. Did you ever have a problem with outside in your cabin? Also any food items really good? Thanks,Kendra

Wonderful review and beautiful pictures! Thanks so much for posting.

One of my favourite things about cruising, and travel in general, is meeting new friends. We have always been lucky to meet so many wonderful people from all over the world :)

Go, Canada!

Enjoy your cruise and I am glad I could help rev up your excitement. As I have said previous, I really enjoyed the set up of the 8 days. It was very relaxing to enjoy the last two days at sea.

Thank you for the review ! We are heading out on the Freedom in 9 days :) Like you we live in the great snow and cold havens, NE Minnesota, beautiful, but frigid :( Anyways are itinerary is different, but it was nice to see parts of the ship. You really captured some great photos. We have done the PR, St Thomas and St Maarten stops and it was nice to see those islands from a different angle. Next time you get to St Maarten, make sure you take a stop at Maho Beach to catch the planes coming in.... there is a nice bar and casino right there as well. Again, thanks for all the time you put into this review, I really enjoyed it.

Hi Kreader... Not sure I understand your question? Do you mean noise around the cabin? If that's what you mean then the answer is no problems. We could hear some people once in awhile who we're talking near the elevators but it wasn't really that bad.

As for the food? I am not real foodie to be honest. However, I had no complaints about anything we ordered and it was all good!

Great review and excellent photos....thanks for taking the time to share.

We're doing an eight night on the BREEZE on May 10, and then heading over to Lauderdale to go on the FREEDOM for six nights – your comments and pics just help to build the anticipation.

Thanks again.

Great review and pics. We are planning a trip to most of these ports in March next year. Just wondering in St. Thomas which taxi service you used and if it was pre planned or if you were able to just book that when you got there. I would hate to book ahead of time and have bad weather or a change of itinerary. Also did you choose where you wanted to go and how long to stay or was it a specific tour?

We didn't preplan anything for St. Thomas. We knew we wanted to make it a beach day with some touring. When we got off the ship and walked through the security gate there were a number of taxi's available. We simply let them know where we wanted to go and they arranged a taxi for us. We did share the taxi with around 5 other people but that was ok for us. I am sure if we wanted to go on our own we could have as well.

As for time, we just said when we wanted to return and that was no issue for the driver. He was back and waiting for us at the beach at the exact time we asked for.

Do you mind me asking how much it cost you? Did he drive you to each individual spot you stopped at and wait for you or just to Coki Beach?

We paid $20 each and had the cab for the day. Well for pick ups and drop offs. What he did in between I have no idea but he always showed up at the arranged time.

Thanks.... We thought about heading to watch the planes but it wasn't in the cards this time. Perhaps next time.

Thank you so much for your review. Your port pictures are amazing. They really gave me a good idea of where I'll be going in August! I was just to the point of leaving my camera behind on this cruise and just using phone and ipad. You changed my mind. Your ship and Ft Lauderdale pictures brought back many memories from last June. So excited to see this beauty after her update.

Could you please elaborate on the name and/or location of the discount liquor store. Is it closer, cheaper than K-Mart? Thank you.
