2bthereagain Posted February 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Is the 24 currently or does it include the days for the booked cruise? If you turn 25 at any point during the booked cruise you will start off as gold.
tlbutler33 Posted February 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Yes, you definitely will. I have 19 days and I am booked on a 7 day cruises this March. I printed out my cruise documents and it states on there that I am Gold.

grumpyjr88 Posted February 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Check your boarding pass, it will say if you are Gold on this cruise or not. My mom has 17 days and we are going on a 7 day next summer. She is so bummed that she will be one day short of Gold!

Charlie911 Posted February 19, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Where is the source of this information? If you go on the Carnival web site and login and to the VIFP Club it will list your status and how many days for each award level.
Stacy_C Posted February 19, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) Yes, you will. I turned gold on the last day of one of my cruises and received my gold card (and its perks) upon checking in. Edited February 19, 2014 by Stacy_C
pansieFL Posted February 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Check your boarding pass, it will say if you are Gold on this cruise or not. My mom has 17 days and we are going on a 7 day next summer. She is so bummed that she will be one day short of Gold! That happened to me too! LOL glad it wasn't the only one :-) with this trip though, I am there.... For a long while :-)
YumYumSweetiePie Posted February 20, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Looks like most people already gave you a great answer: if you hit 25 days during your cruise then you will be gold for the cruise with all the privileges that includes (gold card, party, drinks, etc.). You can confirm this by looking at your boarding pass; current status on the Carnival page is irrelevant because that only gets updated after a cruise despite level privileges actually being applied during the cruise. I also turned gold during my last cruise and received the pin in my stateroom and attended the party (fabulous!).
Rare 1kaper Posted February 20, 2014 #15 Share Posted February 20, 2014 If you go on the Carnival web site and login and to the VIFP Club it will list your status and how many days for each award level. You are correct that you need 25 days or more, however, if you book a cruise and the total days of that cruise will put you over 25, you will be considered the next level at the beginning of cruise. For example, I am Red, I have 19 days sailed with Carnival. I booked a 7 day cruise which gives me 26 days. I will be Gold for that cruise. My boarding passes say I am Gold level. larkz Posted February 20, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Every single time this question comes up, there are several completely WRONG replies. If you are going to reach a new color level (blue, red, gold, platinum, diamond), during your next cruise, you are considered to be on that level from the moment you board the ship, and you're entitled to all of the benefits that apply. firespud Posted February 20, 2014 #17 Share Posted February 20, 2014 From counting the nights on Carnival in your signature, looks like you have already sailed with them for 24 nights, and with you upcoming cruise you will become gold.
BenjiRodney Posted February 20, 2014 #18 Share Posted February 20, 2014 with a cruise booked. Will i be able too attend the free gold party on my next cruise? thanks so much Look at your docs on line, they should say gold now.
awhcruiser Posted February 20, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 20, 2014 I have 23 days but my boarding pass says Gold. If you go on the Carnival web site and login and to the VIFP Club it will list your status and how many days for each award level.
sjcruiser Posted February 21, 2014 #20 Share Posted February 21, 2014 Yes, my last cruise our 25th day would be during the middle of the cruise. When we boarded we got our Gold cards, and the Gold pin, along with the free drink card, and invitation to the VIFP/PG Party was already in the room. Cruiseaholichal Posted February 21, 2014 #21 Share Posted February 21, 2014 It all depends if you are free during the time period the party is scheduled. You are eligible to attend , but other factors may effect your going or not :D
