Many of the boards aren't very useful without a search feature

Hopefully that the reason it's not there is because they are working to improve it -- I have NEVER had much success using "search" on this website.

 

I just tried to click on someone's screen name & view all their posts == and the message came up that the Search Button is turned off.

Yes, the lack of a search does significantly impair the usefulness of this site.

Where did the search button go?

 

It took me a while to find it but if you look right at the top of the page you will see the magnifying glass and search box saying Search Cruise Critic. After this you may well be asked for Kewords in next page. I just put in the same words. It is not the same as the old search this forum but it does give you old posts. Hope this helps. Once you have experienced it you will see yourself how it works.
