Transportation-Miami Beach to Port of Miami?

I just booked a bargain for a pre-cruise stay at a hotel on Miami Beach. The website says it's about a 15 minute drive to the port of Miami.

Anyone have any idea of the taxi fare from Miami Beach to the port of Miami? There's 2 of us. Or does anyone else have any recommendations for other transportation? Thanks!

taxi should be $20 to $25 for both, plus tip

Which hotel? Miami Beach stretches about ten miles in length and with heavy traffic on Collins can make a huge difference. South of Fifth hotels would be around $20 with tip and North Beach would be closer to $45.

I'd expect the reverse path to be the same BUT

 

call the hotel and ask

 

unless they rent by the hour they should know . .

Ask the hotel what normal and customary is. Use the cab not a shuttle service. I would guess the hotel will state what their "flat rate" is.
