Laberdee Columbus beach question

We have been to Columbus beach twice, and enjoyed it. This time we have friends with us who snorkel. I have read previously that there really isn't any snorkeling worth doing there. Should I tell them to leave their snorkel gear on the ship?

Ah....let them lug it off the ship, if they dont, the whole time you will probably hear " . . . I wish I would have brought my gear. . . "

They will see the clear water and want to try it out.

But, tell them dont get too excited, not much to see.

Why not take the Snorkel Safari tour if they like to snorkel? There really is nothing to see in Columbus Cove but sand, rocks and a bit of trash...

Thanks for the suggestion. I told them about it, but since this is their first trip to Labadee, they want to just try the beach this time. Maybe next trip.
