descartes1 Posted February 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2014 I notice that quite recently Seabourn has posted some very significant reductions in fares as compared to when we originally booked our July cruise in the Med. Figured I'd let others know... I also noticed that SilverSea pricing has become very competative-- in the mid-$3000 range. But, the "catch" with SS seems to be that the itineraries with these very attractive fares are ones which keep you on an overnight in port at the beginning and end of the trip. Less cost for fuel, I suppose.
wripro Posted February 26, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2014 But higher port charges.
Mr Luxury Posted February 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2014 The bottom line is if you like the look of a trip and can afford it then do it. Prices rise and fall and I have found that it is not an exact science.
