Tips additional on drinks when purchasing drink package?

Will be sailing on Divina in April and trying to decide if drink package is worthwhile. When you purchase the package do the add a gratuity each time you get a drink? Do you just have something on your cruise card - like a sticker ? Soft drinks included? I've had a soda card before and a coffee card - on other lines - but never a drink package. Thanks for any help!

If you either prebook or prepay for a drinks package then there is no service charge. If it's an all inclusive, your cruise card will have a code on it to indicate you have that. The bar waiters will swipe your card and give you a bill, showing the final amount as 0.00, no charges are added on. Some other packages like wine ones, you get a book of vouchers and you exchange one for each purchase, again no extra charge.

If however you buy a package onboard, a 15% service charge will be added.

The best way to get drinks packages is to prebook as an onboard service. You avoid the charge and the spend counts towards the loyalty programme MSC club.
