bthompson8 Posted March 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2014 I will be sailing on the Dream next week. Was curious about their 3 card poker tables. Does anyone know what the table minimum is? Also do they do the 6-card bonus? Thanks!
Sue Do-Over Posted April 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Table minimums are low - $5 is typical. Keeps the seats full! No progressive or 6-card bonuses.
sailor_jimc Posted April 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2014 Wrong Sue.. they do have the 6 card bonus now... They only allow betting $1 on it though.. maybe they will change that. And the other gotcha with it is that you must stay in the 3 card hand to win on the 6 card hand. In vegas and other land based casino I have played at, you don't have to "play" the 3 card hand. Maybe they will change this as they get more familiar with the 6 card bonus.
O2Cool Posted May 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2014 On the Magic in early May, they let you fold the 3 card hand and still stay in the Bonus hand. I just learned to play the game on this cruise and hit with the Ace King and Queen of Diamonds on my second day playing. I wish the dealer had the missing cards for and even bigger payoff.:D

sailor_jimc Posted August 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Update on this- Off the Triumph last week and the 6 card bonus (which is what Vegas calls it but it is really the best 5 card hand you can make using the 6 cards -your 3 and the dealer's 3) is being played just like they do for the Vegas casinos (with the exception of the million dollar 6 card royal flush) Meaning that you can now bet more than $1 (I was told up to a $10 max) and you do not have to stay on the 3 card bet to play the 6 card bonus bet. i.e. you can fold the 3 card hand and you put your cards under your 6 card bonus chip and that plays out after the dealer exposes their cards and pays out. So the bet makes a little more sense to play. I am not sure it is a good bet or not as most bonus bets you are allowed do NOT favor the player.... goldwinger88 Posted August 24, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Sailed on the Carnival Fantasy end of May and they did not have the new tables. Sailing again on her in 2 weeks. Hoping they swapped out the tables for the new ones.
