Port Canaveral arrival time WITHOUT FTTF

We are sailing the Dream, and wondered what would be the best time to arrive at the port to get on the ship quickly. We were unable to purchase FTTF since it has been sold out for a while now. Our hotel is only a few minutes from the port. What are the typical wait times? Carnival website says to arrive between 12:30 and 3. We were hoping to get on soon after diamond/platinum/FTTF. Is it a first arrive first on board after those priority? Thanks for your help.

I've always had good luck arriving around 10:30am (and always I always come prepared with a snack, a drink, and something to read in case boarding is delayed due to some unforeseen issue).

 

ADDED: in most cases, the wait was about 20 to 30 minutes.

Arrive between 10:30 and 11:00 and you will be on pretty quickly after boarding starts.

We have never had FTTF and usually arrive at the port 10:30-11am, always been on board by noon.

we are normally there between 10 and 10:30 and have always been on around 11:30. wait at the hotel or wait at the port?

always try to get to Pt. Canaveral by 10:30.....love this port as it is one of the easiest.

Agree ! Port Canaveral is one of the best ports in my opinion. We are also sailing on the Dream from there and we hope to be there around 10-10:30.

Most hotels want you checked out by 11 so you might as well head straight to the pier.

We sailed on the Dream last year. We got to the port 11ish and went through the plat line. DD did not have FTTF and went through regular line. They were on board before us (we did get held up for bottle check). This is the BEST and most efficient port for embark and debark! We love Pt Canaveral.
