Theme Nights

It has come to my attention that MSC has a "theme night" dress code. Some previous MSC cruisers have mentioned the following themes - White Night, 80's, Flower in your Hair, etc. Can anyone tell me how we go about finding out in advance what theme(s) will be happening onboard for any particular sailing? I'm looking to prepare and pack accordingly for our trip aboard the MSC Divina this fall.

Thank you in advance.

Okay, I have your answer for you.

The following is The MSC Divina Eastern/Western Caribbean daily schedule for Evening Dress Suggestions.

Night 1: Casual, No Jeans/Shorts in MDR

Night 2: Gala Night, if you wish, Tuxedo, Gown, Suit, Cocktail Dress, Jacket and Tie suggested

Night 3: Italian Night, wear a combination of the Italian Flag, Red White and Green.

Night 4: White Party Night. Wear White. The on deck party is a blast!

Night 5: 60's 70's and 80's disco night. Go for it!

Night 6: The second Gala Night, Jacket and Tie, Cocktail Dress, suggested

Night 7: Casual, it's the pack up and get out of here night.

But always, on every cruise, we wear the most important thing with our cocktails and any beverages:

Thank you cruiseguys2009 for giving me an idea of what to expect. It seems 'White Night' is an ongoing theme for each itinerary in the Caribbean and we are definitely looking forward to the deck party!

Thank you cruiseguyinorl (Bret), please let me know if you hear from the cruise director for our specific cruise. Fingers crossed he does.

Time to start going through the closets.

So these are evening activities, correct? One does not necessarily have to dress for dinner wearing a disco outfit but can change before the party?

I plan on dressing in the evening's requested dress attire throughout the whole night. I think it's a hoot and I have my outfits already put together! One more fun thing to make our MSC Divina Cruise spectacular!

With every drink in hand, remember....

His answer to me was:

"We have our flower glory party, white party, Italian party, officers and gentleman party and stardust night."

I'll let you interpret those how you wish. Hope this helps.

Do they have a description of each or suggestions on what to wear? Perhaps someone that has been on the ship can share what they saw onboard for these theme nights. For the officers and gentleman party - does that mean wives cannot attend? Where is the ladies spa party? :D
