Cruise-Crazy Posted March 9, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Not really a book but the recipes of the available martinis. This was a couple of months ago.
mousey Posted March 9, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 9, 2014 I've never done the martini tasting but it's on my bucket list for our next cruise! I'd love to get my hands on those recipes...not that I drink all that much...but I like to have recipes for my parties. If anyone has them, would you mind posting them and sharing them? Thanks in advance to anyone who does!:D
Hockey Addict Posted March 9, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 9, 2014 We did it in October. No recipie book. But you get a charm for your martini glass.

my2monkees Posted March 9, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Just did it in Jan. and you got a card with the charm and it had recipes on it. It was $17.00 and you got to pick 4 of the 8 martinis. I enjoyed doing this
robear14 Posted March 9, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 9, 2014 We did this on the Valor in January. The first time we got the charm and the "recipe book" which really is just the menu that you checked the martinis you wanted. The second time we had to ask for the charm. It really is fun to watch the bartender pour all four at the same time. They have to use five shakers nested in each other and the glasses have to be lined up just right so that nothing spills out. It really is a good deal, and once you find one you like, you can order the big version of it. I was cruising with three others, so we were able to share and sample all of them.:D
Susiecruisey Posted March 9, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 9, 2014 What are the martini choices you get and are they full sized martini s
KPfromCT Posted March 9, 2014 #16 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Does anyone know which bar they do this at on the Breeze? I would love to try them... Plus, I think it's AMAZING how they pour 4-5 at once:eek::eek: Thanks!:D
chathamman Posted March 9, 2014 #17 Share Posted March 9, 2014 We've done this on several cruises & it is not only a great deal, but loads of fun. They are "mini" martinis & I would say each of the 4 would be the equivalent to 1/2 of a normal martini. ...and as the others have said, you get to keep the little booklet (sort of a fold out card) that has the martini choices & recipes that you select, plus the charm. Our favorite two martinis are the Spicy Chipotle and Blackberry Bramble. The other choices on our last cruise were the Classic Cosmo, Pomegranate, Melon, Florida Sunrise, Carribean Sunset and Sea Blue. My wife and I cannot hardly wait till our cruise June 1 to hit the Martini Bar!:)
lake_wannabees Posted March 9, 2014 #18 Share Posted March 9, 2014 The first time we tried it was in 2012 and we got the charm and booklet. But they changed Vodka's so the drinks changed up a little. Still love to try them out before deciding on a full size Martini.
wantocruisemore Posted March 9, 2014 #19 Share Posted March 9, 2014 We're planning on doing this for our next cruise, plus we want to do the Martini class as well. Alchemy bar was our favorite on Liberty last sept. What kind of charm do you get???

Anjanu Posted March 9, 2014 #24 Share Posted March 9, 2014 I love going to the martini tastings! What people don't realize is that you can do it at any time, not just the time that may be listed in the Fun Times. I've done it several times throughout my cruises. crzndeb Posted March 9, 2014 #25 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Here's a great link...Enjoy http://zydecocruiser.net/menus/martini.htm I didn't get the charm when I did this on the Spirit to Australia, but the bartender was a grump, and I didn't know to ask. But I am definitely going to do this again on the Legend to Australia. Debbie
