seashinesunshine Posted March 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2014 Looking at the Carnival Web Site, it looks to me like there is a cute little candy store on the Carnival Glory (and some other ships). Anyone been there? How expensive is it? Do they just have normal candy store candy, or is there anything fun a new?
LizzieTrowbridge Posted March 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2014 I was on Glory in 2012 and there was a candy store. I believe most of what they sold was loose candy by the pound, like Dylan's Candy Bar in NYC!. It was a small little shop near the jewelry and perfume shops. LakeMomNY Posted March 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2014 I was on glory this past summer. The candy shop is cute. It was expensive enough that I didn't buy anything, but not expensive enough to deter my 15 your old from buying a decent sized bag full! I don't remember the pricing, but I say a little more than a mall candy store, a little less than Dylan's.
joeyancho Posted March 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) They sell mostly kiddie candy, jelly bellys, gummy candy. They have some retro candy too. Also fresh flowers. These shops have replaced Formalities, which used to rent tuxedos. Edited March 10, 2014 by joeyancho
Dreacrusingaway Posted March 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2014 My kids cannot wait to get here! I think it's called Cherry on Top. They are saving money for it since they know I'm not paying for candy. Sent from my iPad using Forums
WAHMto5 Posted March 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2014 My kids love the little candy stores on the ships. The have lots of different candy bins that are all sold at the same price per pound and they also offer some larger candy novelties at a set price tag as well. My kids just mix and match a little candy at a time for a couple of dollars;)
seashinesunshine Posted March 10, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted March 10, 2014 Sounds fun! I'm sure my kids will have fun picking a few good pieces to take home.
deborahjo Posted March 10, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2014 The candy is $10.00 to $12.00 a pound. It is sold by the quarter lb. I about chocked the first time I walked in. That is why I bring my own candy on board.

That is why I bring my own candy on board. I though I saw a price listed by 100 grams but can't remember. I bought just a couple of pieces, 2 whale tail sour candies each (for two of us) 2 sour gummies each and a few of those sour ribbons. Paid less than $2 for it. I mean the prices are more expensive than a regular store but that's kind of a given when on the ship.
asalligo Posted March 10, 2014 #11 Share Posted March 10, 2014 The one on the glory is a lot nicer than most, but every Carnival boat I have been on has a Candy shop. It is often in the formalities shop if not separate.
golfadj Posted March 11, 2014 #12 Share Posted March 11, 2014 Considering all the desserts that are available that is included in the cruise amazes me that people would buy candy but to each his own.
