My wife and I flew down the day before from DC. We stayed at the Tahitian Inn in Tampa. Nice old hotel. They did not have room for us on the port shuttle till 130pm so we cabbed over due to having FTTF. Waited about 15 min then boarding started. On the ship around 1130. Dropped off the bags, room 6238 was not ready but didnt care. Went to lido and eat and had a drink.Muster at 315ish at your tender station. During the talk, a small bout with 8 or so decided to give us a peep show  and yelled ;if there is a problem call 911;. The crew was having a time keeping a staight face. sail away was delayed due to a medical emergency till 7pm. We had 6pm dining so off to dinner. We sat at a table for 6 with 2 other couples on their first cruise. Food and service were great. Went back to room to watch us going under the bridge, walked around and listen to music. They had a couple, keyboard, singer in the atrium, piano bar and cover band that played differnt places. Met the craps table regulars and played awhile before calling it a night.More to come, if you have a question pease ask. The ship was clean and finished, only normal work being done.

Lobster and prime rib were excelent. went to show at 7 and family comedy at 8, both were good. piano bar atrium bar Nick and Nadia, casino and bed time.Coz in the AM we cabbed to town then to Paradise Beach, water was in the mid 70s, its been cool down there too. Weather the whole time was great. Back on ship we made masks for Mardi Gras at 5 then dinner at 6. Mardi Gras party in atrium with Willy the cruise director. Bead toss, and partys everywere. even danced in the disco that night. more craps table and then to bed, will continue later

We're booked at the Tahitian Inn before our April sailing. I'm curious what time you checked in? I want to be prepared to cab it if we can't get on the early shuttle list, since we have FTTF as well. How much was cab fare, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Can you tell me how much it cost to take the taxi from the Tahitian to the port? I plan on staying there this May.

16 or 17$ we got there around 245 and the shuttle was filled. Some may have called the day before to get a spot, may be worth a call the day before. also had dinner at the Columbian, cab to there was 25$.

OK Wenesday was Belize. Had FTTF but had a ruins river wallace with Carnival so we were told to go with our group on the first tender. I did not care for the this , too much river and only 45 min at the ruins. The group that did ruins first did better. The bus ride is long due to a one lane two lane road with bigger pot holes than we have here. Lunch was good, temps 96 and no bugs. We didnt get to our tendr till 530pm and there was one after us. Quick shower and dress and to dinner. we were pooped so we just listened to music here and there. We had the Maya Key trip and the changed it to 0800 start so off to bed. 0700 roomservice coffee and out to get with our group. It was a short boat ride to the resort area. It is near were Norwegian docks. This is a great place to relax, wish they stayed at Roatan longer. nice beach good lunch good snorkling and Animals to see in and out of cages. Fake Mayan ruins with a musium. Good lunch and 4 dollar beer. Warning, use bug spray, didnt feel them but had bites all over that looked like bad. This was 2nd formal night, went to the show Motor City. R&B 60s-80s, not arson, drugs and Mayors in jail. after that. music, drinks craps table. Did not here anyone say anything about sea grass, non at Maya Key Resort

Thanks, I am taking the Amtrak down, and it isn't due to arrive in town until 3:30, so I probably wont be able to get a early shuttle. Since I like to get to the port early, I will plan to take a taxi.

So you were happy with the Tahitian Inn?

Ok, Friday was Caymans. Been there twice so we ate breakfast in dinning room, grabed the snorkle gear and on a tender. no wait for tenders here. We walked to the right to Sunset House / My Bar. Its a long walk and only half has a side walk. Its near the big storage tanks you see from the ship. There is no beach. The have a large pool cut in the coral wall and it emptys to the reef outside. They have ladders to get down and its free. with you own gear. The rent snorlke and scuba also. The bar is good and has free WIFI. Walked back, shopped a little. Got a old silver coin,1272 long cross penny for 55$ at Artifacts LTD,nice little shop. Back to the ship and relax. Had 6pm steakhouse. Got a table next to window to watch sunset. Brought my own wine, 14$ corkage here, I had cowboy rib steak. Wife had filet and lobster everything was perfect. Had cheese for desert, they brought a cart with 5 different anc cut it for you.Rest of the day, drinks music, and yes the craps table for me. Saturday sea day. went to brunch, did this both sea days, the steak and eggs are great, they had a bar cart outside the dining area for the free drinks you all get, dont forget or toss them away. Later just enjoyed a perfect day at serenity or deck 10. After dinner went to the show The Brits. First time they did it and it was pretty good. later pack the bags and relax and yes 1 last time to the craps table. We did get awaken at around 5am for fire anouncment. It was smoke from the AC on deck 2. Willie came on the speaker about 15min later to say all was well and get some sleep. Arrived on time to tampa. FTTF were told to wait at the Red Frog. If self assist you went to the front of that line, others were first of abou 20 min later. Ding, walk off, customs went fast, got bags and off to a cab to the airport. 25$ flat fare. Final thought, Jet Blue works well, Tahitian Inn is nice, had the small room on the outside, would go there again, Weather was perfect, Food great, service great, plenty to do. Fttf was worth it for getting on and off.

Thanks for your review.

We will be on the Legend May 4th. My husband likes to do karaoke so we were wondering how much karaoke the Legend has. The last couple of cruises we were on didn't have much karaoke so we're just curious about the Legend. Thanks for any information you can give us.

We don't want to board the ship too early. If we arrive at the port at 2 PM will that give us enough time to get on the ship? We do have priority boarding. Also do you think our room will be ready when we get on.

I am glad I am not the only one who likes a good steak, a casino and 60's and 70's music.

Just got off the legend today and in mohogany bay there is sea grass. It looks like carnival has brought in alot of sand and has covered a portion of the sea weeds but it you swim out far enough you will be swimming with sea weeds at your feet.
