Winemakers dinner on Royal question?

Did you just call the dine line the minute you got on the ship to book for your group?

 

 

We called soon after we boarded but we were not among the first to board or anything. They took our names and we received the invitation to attend Monday or Tuesday. We were instructed to meet in Vines and the Head waiter came down to get us there and escorted us into the dining room. I think we were in The Symphony dining room on Thursday after St. Maarten at 7pm.

So far only on the Royal - May be rolled out later to other ships that have a place to have it.

We called for 5 on arrival & was told we would be told if we were accepted, 2 days later received a letter & to be ready at 7pm in the vines, our menu was completely different than the one listed. Unfortunately I went to happy hour prior & with all the wine I was sick, yes do not drink prior, the wine flows.

I had posted how great this was in Nov., forget it, our last cruise with Roberto was terrible, I posted my complaints on another thread, never again for us, Roberto claims aspects of the meal have changed, no more champagne to start, no more after dinner drink, no more free flowing wine, it was like being at a cheap wine tasting event with the maître d` disappearing after showing us our seats.
