cruzinlisa Posted March 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2014 Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I never saw a clear answer that I understand. I am brand new to Celebrity and about to sail on my first cruise later this month. I see that it says you can join the Captains Club (or whatever they call it) after your first cruise. So does this mean that you get points that you would have received for first cruise after the cruise is completed or do you start earning points with your SECOND celebrity cruise? Hopefully this makes sense.

You can also join ahead of your first cruise and again the points from that first cruise will be added. Hopefully this makes sense. Hi Lisa, You would earn points for your first Cruise. Actually, you can join Captains Club now, and be at "Preview" Level, so you will receive limited benefits on your first sailing. Along with an enrollment link, details of Preview Level can be found here : http://www.celebritycruises.com/captainsclub/membershipBenefits.do#captains_club_tier_preview/captainsclub/membershipTierDetails.do%3Fpagename=captains_club_tier_preview Hope this helps ! It was for us in the UK after our first cruise on X last year. Maybe it differs in the US. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app Yes, maybe so ! I asked about this a while ago, and was told you had to sign up. I suspect they do it differently in the UK. Thanks for posting ! Guernseycruiser Posted March 12, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2014 What points would you be awarded if you book a W suite guarantee? Would you have the lowest suite points (i.e 8 points per day), or the points allocated to the cabin grade you have been given (i.e 12 points per day for a Royal Suite, 18 points for a Penthouse Suite)? That way you both earn equal points.

Points are assigned on the basis of what was paid for, not the accommodations you'd end up with, so it would be 8 points per day. The same applies to visits from the Upgrade Fairy.
