NCL EPIC Transatlantic Q's

Hi Guys!!

We're heading off on our first transatlantic cruise in April from Miami to Barca :D

Just wondering a few things about transatlantic cruises

1. What's the entertainment like on board the epic considering the amount of sea days?

2. Is there still a jewelry and watch sale near the end of the cruise?

3. What's the weather like out in the Atlantic in late April/ early May?

Anyone that's been on the Epic transatlantic have any answers for the above or any tips? :)

Thanks,

Schecter

Just wondering a few things about transatlantic cruises

1. What's the entertainment like on board the epic considering the amount of sea days?Plenty to see. You might have 2 sets of Legends

2. Is there still a jewelry and watch sale near the end of the cruise?yes, plus "end of season" T-shirt sales

3. What's the weather like out in the Atlantic in late April/ early May? Don't know - we have been on two westbound Barca - Miami in Oct/Nov and both times it was cold/cool to begin with and it became warm and sunny.

Anyone that's been on the Epic transatlantic have any answers for the above or any tips? :)

i guess we are on the same cruise?? Have you join the roll call??

there are lots of different acts onboard, covering lots of different tastes, you are never bored!! There are also one offs like hypnosis, tribute acts, magicians inaddition to the headline shows.

yes the usual shop sales were onboard the star last year and EPIC the year before.

weather is variable. I get sunburnt every year. Starts about 30c and then 18-25 ish in Barcelona. There will probably be at least 1 storm day.

We did the 15 night last April (added a 4 day Barcelona, Marseilles etc) and the weather across the Atlantic was downright awful. Once we cleared sailaway, it got cloudy, then rainy and by the fourth day, the sea was throwing Epic all over the place.

We were in the OS, upfront and high, and drawers were flying out of the cabinets, glass shower and toilet doors were pulling off the hinges and shattering. Even though we cleared off the dining table, we didn't get to it soon enough so everything ended up on the floor. Major waves battered the ship. It rained five days straight, and the first nice day was on day 9 at Funchal.

April weather for this cruise was more unusual than typical.

Be prepared for anything. Others I know who did an April"ish" ta had good weather and a nice crossing.
