Lake Bled Post Cruise

We are planning to spend a couple of nights at Lake Bled in Slovenia after ending a cruise in Venice in early July.

 

Does anyone have any insights or tips on the area?

Lake Bled is amazing! I have family in Slovenia and think the whole country is worth exploring. I would take a day and explore the nearby Julian Alps as well. What particular questions do you have?

Walk around the lake. We did it in the rain in October and it was wonderful. I can only imagine how great it is in good weather. Bled is famous for a particular pastry which you will find in places along the waterfront.

 

Be sure to take the boat to the island in the lake and visit the church.
