Reflection - Bistro on 5 & The Porch

I have not sailed on Celebrity before, and like the look of having a few breakfast/lunches at the Bistro on 5 and The Porch on our forthcoming cruise.

I note that there is a $5 cover charge, does this cover all items ordered from the menu or are items charged on an individual basis, I also assume that we will be able to use our appropriate drink package deal at these restaurants.

The $5 does cover all the food as well as a basic gratuity. You can use your drink packages at Bistro on 5 and at the Porch.

We eat at Bistro frequently, not fans of The Porch. But we always leave an extra $5 or so depending on how much of a PITA we've been!!!

just got off the 2/8 sailing and did the ultimate dining package, so we ate at the porch and bistro every day. Breakfast & lunches both good. Drink packages are accepted. The porch has panini sandwiches and salads. The bistro has crepes and salads with a bit more variation

We think the Bistro is the best $5 you can spend on any ship. The crepes are wonderful, made to order, and we love it. As to the Porch, we were not even impressed when we ate there for free (a friend had a cabana and invited us to join them for lunch). Most of what they have at the Porch you can get in the buffet and unlike at the Porch, we can make a nice fresh salad at the buffet (the Porch has their salads pre made).

We ate at the Bistro on 5 on the Summit two weeks ago and loved it. They had great paninis and dessert crepes. The $5 charge covered all food on the menu - you can just keep eating! They were open earlier for lunch than the buffet, which was a great help since we had to be on the dock for a tour at 12:15.

We enjoyed lunch at the Porch on the Reflection. It was so nice sitting in the sun at the end of January! Winter has been too long for us!

We are also big fans of Bistro in Five, still not sure if we should try the Porch this summer on the Reflection...:confused:

Bistro on Five was the perfect way to start our first cruise. Salads, crepes, flutes of Domaine Chandon that seemed to magically refill themselves... Nirvana! (the feeling, not the band - don't want to fuel the loud music debate :D)
