You should book something stodgy and boring like Cunard

to help keep prices down for us intelligent vacationers.

I know your post was tongue-in-cheek, but, I assure you, folks who sail on Cunard are very intelligent (well, most anyway). And as far as it being stodgy and boring, yes, it's true there's no hairy chest or drinking contests by the pool, but, trust me, out of 44 cruises, I have NEVER heard so many drunks singing as loud as possible, or having as wild a time, as I experienced in Queen Mary 2's pub – night after night. The production shows were on par with anything I've seen on Carnival, and the Black & White and Ascot Balls were terrific fun and hardly boring. The dance club, G32 – where there was a live rock band – was slammed every night...you could barely walk through the joint. Ok, there's no DJ playing rap music by the pool or in the atrium, but that just proves that Cunards knows its audience.

 

As to the topic at hand, I feel zero compelled to "convince" the OP as to why they should sail on Carnival, I can only say that a Carnival cruise is a tremendous value. People who pay next to nothing to go on a cruise, and then moan about it, irk the hell out of me.
