Breakaway - day of embarkation

Trying to determine what time to arrival on the day of embarkation. Considering arriving early and spending the time working out in the gym, visiting the spa (we'll be in a spa balcony), and grabbing something to eat.

Does anyone know if the gym and spa will be open prior to cast off as well as which restaurants might be open?

Many thanks!

I don't know about the Spa and Gym, but the Buffet, one of the MDRs (Taste or Savor), o'Sheehans and the grill on the pool deck (can't remember the name) will be open for food.

I'd get there nice and early. May as well enjoy your holiday for as long as possible. We usually try to get to the port between 11 and 11.30 and are onboard not long after midday. I've not boarded in NY though, so can't specifically speak about times there.
