Packing the finery

I've read a lot on this website and I feel like I'm ready! DH is renting a tux and I bought two dresses: a black handkerchief point and a red with a flounce at the bottom. But how do I pack these? Garment bags? What do you all do?

There are many different methods, but the best thing to do is to cover the gowns with plastic dry cleaner bags prior to any packing method. I like to use a garment bag, but many people put the dresses on top, in the plastic bag, already on a hanger.
