seanieb Posted May 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2004 Any fun folks going on this short cruise with us? Two 30-ish friends on a break from hectic lives. Would love sail away cocktails with family.
tadjr Posted May 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2004 I would love to go on this cruise. Got a great offer for it, but unfortunately after 2 cruises in May, my travel budget has been shot for a while. Have fun though, it looks like a great trip. Oppgaard Posted May 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2004 We are leaving on Celebrity's Mercury to Alaska on May 17 and I noticed that we are going to be in one of the ports the same day you are. I would have to go back and look to see for sure which one it is but keep a look out for us. DesertCruiser
tadjr Posted May 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Cool, I'll be sure to wave as we pass by. (Minor problem though, we're on an inside so you might have trouble seeing us) Have fun though!! I really wanted to do another Celebrity, but the length and start dates just didnt work for me. I love Celebrity! johninbelltown Posted May 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2004 Hey Sean, I will be cruising on this alone - just decided to "just do it" today. I am in my early 40's but look and act much younger - would love to meet friends while onboard. Hope to hear from you.

tadjr Posted May 26, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2004 Hey Oppgaard, Saw the Mercury in Juneau. Was actually heading back to my ship from Mendenhall when you guys were just getting off. Thought about hanging around to look for you, but way too many people around. Hope you had a good time. The weather was excellent, wasnt it? I'm having withdrawal. Need help! johninbelltown Posted June 1, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 1, 2004 Well, so far I know of one gay couple and myself who will be on this cruise - we've both posted responses to seanieb's initial message. Seanieb, where are you and your friend - we hope you read this post so you can meet us on board for an embarkation celebration cocktial.

Oppgaard Posted June 5, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 5, 2004 The weather was absolutely fantastic in Juneau and also when we were in Victoria. Hoonah was also nice but it was a little rainy in Sitka and Ketchikan. All in all, the weather was better than we expected and we sure didn't need all the heavy clothes that we took along. Our cruise was so good we booked about the same one for next year in September. DesertCruiser

TheNightDawg Posted June 6, 2004 #12 Share Posted June 6, 2004 True Tad...I didn't hit the C/C Board looking for a companion...but tried about 5 or 6 of my friends. Either airfare or time-away from work was an issue! If only Cruise Critic allowed for personal ads: "Top seeks bottom-freak travel companion, prefer dark looks, ISO same age, interests...."
