rednose83 Posted March 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2014 We are considering doing a B2B east/west on the Liberty. We have already booked the east route. Now considering adding the west. Is it a pain to change rooms?
JackNJillCruz Posted March 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Book the same room for the 2nd leg. We've done several B2B's and always ask for the same cabin. That's the beauty of it, Not having to pack up and leave when everyone else does. :D Have a great cruise!

ready2cruzagain Posted March 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2014 It is very easy to switch rooms. We have done several b2b's and b2b2b and had to always change rooms. You will pack your stuff, leave clothes on the hangars in the closets, and your room steward will move everything. We always tell our room steward when we get on the ship that we are doing a b2b and will be changing rooms, also, about mid week we find our cabin steward for the following week and talk to him/her about switching. Very easy!

Very easy! I agree that it is easy but it sure takes the fun out of it for me. That said if I have to move I just through it all together the mornin' we turn around & put in a load of cloths to wash have breakfast. by the time that is done we are moved. Call your PVP maybe they can find you the same cabin. Our Gil seems to have them up his sleeve.
rednose83 Posted March 29, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted March 29, 2014 We decided to change to an 11 day cruise instead of a B2B.
mageemae Posted March 29, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Booked a 6 day cruise first then decide to do a b2b Just called Carnival and asked if we could stay in the cabin that I had just booked for the 8 day and he checked and the cabin was available Just had to pay the difference from a balcony to an ocean suite. :)
Seago2 Posted March 29, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Glad you decided on your 11 day. Just for the sake of the thread: I did a B2B on Glory last summer, switching from an interior to a balcony and adding a passenger. Unfortunately on the next B2B I have to switch, too, from an OV to a mini suite (both times my son and I did the first leg and my husband joined us for the second leg). Despite me reminding Carnival prior to sailing, at check in, and maybe ten times during the cruise at Guest Services, and alerting my cabin steward and for good measure my new cabin steward, we were completely on our own. We had everything packed up and just grabbed a trolley from the hallway. We brought our stuff to just outside the new cabin and heard our names being paged. We knew we had to get off the ship during the in transit day but of course never received "the letter" and had no idea everyone was off the ship- we just wanted to get the stuff out of our cabin so our poor steward could clean it. So we went down and joined the 5 or 6 people who were B2B'ers. We all left the ship and as we hit dry land were asked "why did you get off the ship?" LOL. So we all went back, completely unescorted by anyone, and kind of milled around for a bit on deck. Eventually someone came rushing down with a walkie talkie and our new S&S cards. So we didn't have the super relaxing in transit day we were expecting, but... IT WAS AWESOME!!! I don't know how I'll ever go back to single cruises again. Thankfully Fantasy has a seven day just after a five day In August so I was able to do it again. NOTHING beats the feeling of just settling into cruise mode as everyone else is saying their last goodbyes to the waiters, etc. It is an amazing feeling, like Eloise at the Plaza. Then the new people are awkwardly navigating the buffet and standing around with deck plans trying to figure out where they are and the B2B'ers are like ninjas. So great. :)
jmcancruise Posted March 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 30, 2014 Only drawback to a b2b is not wanting to go back to a single week cruise again.
