There are two restaurants near by

On offits bayou next to HW 45

Coming into Galveston on right.

Clary's and number13.

These are better ones.

See menus for your own evaluation.

There really is nothing else.

The motel is in industrial port area.

Everything is close though for the island small in the developed area.

2 miles wide and about 70 - 80 blocks long.

On Harborside at port and downtown there are a number of restaurants.

For BBQ go to Leon's , Leo's or queens.

I doubt you will find any fresh raw oysters as they will be out season. Months ending in R is the season.

Lots of really good restaurants here. Recommend the locally owned over the chains.

Thought the "R" thing was a myth ..... The one I did see was the fishermans wharf . Just know I want seafood and bbq while I'm there turns out I will also have 1/2 day when we get back to kill in Houston , more shopping and food

No myth. Need cool water temps for them to be good.

Though I question September as it is still too warm.

Check out Galveston.com for restaurants. There are menus attached.
