b8tzm Posted July 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2005 Can someone rank a few of the best times. I'd prefer lower humidity if possible. Thanks
sptrout Posted July 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2005 We have visited Panama three times, all in January. The weather was mild and dry two of the three times; the last visit there was some brief showers in the morning. Panama is like most places in the topics in that you want to go during their dry season, which is during the winter months. But, remember that Panama is in a tropical rain forest so it can rain about anytime and it will be humid year-around.
flashdog_1 Posted January 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2006 We were there Thanksgiving of 2004 and it was humid, some misting in the morning, warm but certainly bearable. The Panamanian tour guide had to wear a coat in the bus since it felt cold to her, but the rest of us appreciated the air conditioning to help with humidity. We took the ferry boat thru the canal. Wonderful. Worth every dollar. This year I think I want to go into Panama City and have lunch in a restaurant as part of the tour. Tour also stops at Gatun lock on the way back. It's around $98 pm Celebrity.
mii Posted January 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2006 We sailed the canal in February and it was just about perfect. Oh sure there was some humidity but not much. Once in awhile a little shower went through but it sure was manageable. marilyn
