SailBadtheSinner Posted April 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2014 I would suggest posting your question and doing a search at the North American Homeports board, East Coast Departures forum. SBtS
Dajbman22 Posted April 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2014 While I am not aware if any of them have shuttles to the port, there are a number of hotels in the Seaport District (where the Black Falcon Terminal is located): Westin Waterfront: http://www.westinbostonwaterfront.com/ Seaport Hotel: https://www.seaportboston.com/ Renaissance Waterfront: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/fact-sheet/travel/boswf Residence Inn Downtown/Seaport: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/maps/travel/bosfp-residence-inn-boston-downtown-seaport/ There are also many other hotels throughout the city that are either a short cab ride or public transit ride to the cruise port (it is on the "Silver Line" bus route, which counts as part of the subway system). VidaNaPraia Posted April 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Boston is very compact, which puts any of the downtown or Back Bay hotels just a few minutes away from the pier by taxi.
138east Posted April 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2014 Does anyone know what hotels are close to the port? Do any of free shuttle? thank you! Give us more details? What's your budget? How many people? Exact dates you need a room? Are you flying or driving? Do you want to sightsee in Boston? Only hotels in more fringe areas will offer a port shuttle primarily to attract customers who would otherwise not even look twice at the hotel. Stratheden Posted April 14, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2014 Have you been to Boston before? Is it just for overnight? Do you want to do some sightseeing? We had 4 days in Boston and stayed at Nine Zero on Tremont Street. Across the road from the Granary and really close to Boston Common. We loved it there and we could walk anywhere. Just for accuracy, the sight mentioned is the Old Granary Burying Ground, a cemetery that took on that name in 1737 after an actual granary that, long before that period, stood on a site nearby. Flying in the late afternoon of Oct 4th. There are two of us. We would like to be within walking distance of the main sights as we'll have the evening and the next morning to see a few things. Is the port close to the airport?

Again, Boston is very compact, and has a convenient and (usually) efficient subway system. The port and the airport are perhaps 10-15 minutes by taxi (if not at rush hour). Hotels in the Back Bay or downtown (Park Street) area would be suitable for walking to many sights.
138east Posted April 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 16, 2014 I'm seeing our favorite 4* Waterfront/Convention Center hotel on Hotwire for Oct 4 for $187 plus tax with a 95% approval rating. This is highly likely to be the Westin Waterfront, but could be the Seaport or the Renaissance. This hotel is one of the closest hotels to the pier and is just across the harbor from the airport. It is accessible by cab or by the Silver Line to World Trade Center, which is a free ride from the airport. You can take the Silver Line to South Station and continue on from there on the T to get to Back Bay, Boston Common, or Faneuil Hall. Quite frankly with the money you save on the cost of this hotel and the transportation to this hotel compared to other Boston hotels, you could take a cab anywhere you want to go in town. You would also be a $10 or less cab ride from the pier.
