Pearl spa pass.

OK-so I did a search but some of the threads are really old. I'm looking at booking the Pearl for an Alaska cruise. Has anyone had a problem getting the thermal spa pass if you do it as soon as you get onboard? We try to board early. And also, what is the current cost for a 7 day pass on the Pearl? Thanks guys!

My DW and I did that cruise last year, they had a table set up outside on the deck as you got on the ship. We did it then.. If I remember it was $149 for the week per person. Or you could go to the spa and sign up. They only give out so many passes, so don't wait too long to do it.

This sounds very interesting. I could use a little pampering.

I tried searching on ncl's site but couldn't find much info.

Can you tell me what is included in the Spa Pass that I would not get without one? For example I think anyone can use the steam room at no charge (could be wrong).

Also is there a day pass or just for the length of the cruise - I don't went to get toooo relaxed

No, not just anyone can use the steam room it's part of what they call the thermal spa. It includes a dry sauna a steam room, a plunge pool and a jetted tub, and lounge chairs with views of the ocean in both the women's and men's side, in the common area they have a large, mineral pool, with various setting and Jets, a hot tub, warm stone tile loungers and lounge chairs over looking the ocean. I don't think they offer a day pass, I think you have to buy it for the week. Do a search on ncl site for thermal spa and it should come up.

The price of the pass varies, I believe, depending on the cruise and number of days. (By the way, it will close early the last night of the cruise)

They do just sell a limited number but if those aren't sold, they might possibly allow you to buy a one-day pass (or so I've heard).

It's a fantastic set-up, as another poster described. I loved the spa when we were on the Panama Canal cruise on the Pearl and I'm not a spa person nor did I buy any services; just took advantage of a relaxing place to go in the evening before bed (not casino-oriented) Wish I had one of those heated tile loungers! Alaska has such fantastic scenery, not sure how much I'd use it on that one, though. I envy your trip to Alaska and being on the Pearl. Would love to do both again! Enjoy!

thermal spa on the Pearl is awesome! Also for Alaska, it is the place to be on glacier viewing day. You are forward on Deck 12 with an awesome view. Bring your binoculars and relax on a heated tile lounger, sipping tea or orange juice (provided in the thermal spa area) and watch for whales, seals and icebergs calving from the glaciers...

We were on the Pearl last week. When you first get on board there is a table and you can sign up for the pass there. $149 for the week or $40 per day. It was very nice never more than 4 people there, we went everyday for awhile.

Just sign up early they only do 80 passes and they all go the first day.

Enjoy your cruise and the spa.

  • 2 weeks later...
Is there a min age for spa use?

Could i split it up a couple days between my 2 daughters?

Thanks

You have to be 18 and you cannot split it. Last time I bought a pass they had stickers and placed them on my card. They do offer spa passes on port days.

So it seems we 4 will be seeing a lot of each other. Rob and I usually get spa passes as well. Nothing better on a sea day or the end of the evening after a show.

I am hoping they will allow us to get passes for the full 22 day cruise rather than having to get one for each leg. Since the cruise was sold as one long cruise my assumption is they will.
