Faster to the Fun necessary? Legend in June

We need to make an excursion by 10:30 in Grand Cayman (their time). The arrival time of the ship is 10am - I am assuming that is the ships time which should be Eastern Standard time since we are out of Tampa. The tour operators told us they are one hour behind us. That gives us 90 minutes to get a tender ticket and tender off the ship and walk 4 minutes to meeting place. This isn't my first rodeo but I think that might be cutting it close. We are on the Legend in June. I don't want to buy FTTF if I don't need to. Also I have tried to locate the FTTF option on the website with my booking number but can't. I know they don't release a lot of them but where would I look for it if it was there? Thanks so much ahead of of time for any suggestions!!

Look for FTTF in the Shore Excursion section of your cruise manager. I love getting FTTF. It's probably the best $50 I spend! You feel like a rockstar! No waiting in lines, getting on board quickly, being escorted to a tender (skipping all the lines) when ever YOU are ready! It really is priceless.

Thank you - I found it - it says "sold out" I have heard they add more in as time goes by - is this true? I guess I can just keep checking but I wondered of others experiences with this.

This is true!!! But be DILLIGENT. Check multiple times per day. They may only release one or two, or they could release 20.

Definitely worth the money!!!:D Good Luck!

A few people upgraded on our cruise which opened the FTTF, so I'd call Carnival and check the website a couple times a day.

If I do see it available will I be able to buy two on my account online? One for our room and one for my sons room? I do have his booking number (since we paid for his room). Same thing goes if I want to buy excursions for the two rooms online?

Do you need FTTF? No. Our excursion meeting times are usually 1 hour after the ship docks no matter what port. We are slow moving people on cruises and have always had plenty of time to look around in port before heading to the meeting spot. Belize has a longer tender time than most ports and even there we had time to sit down and people watch for a while. In Grand Cayman, we actually walked down the street and went in a few shops and still had to come back and sit and wait.

If you are still unsure, just head down to the exit 15 minutes before docking time and get a ticket for the earliest tenders.

Yes, you can do both. You will need to get yours on your booking number, then log into his booking number to do his. If memory serves me correctly, you will have to set up an account with your son's name on the Carnival site to get into his booking number. I don't think you can access it through your Carnival account site.

Please make sure and check island time. We made this mistake in Grand Cayman as we did jet skiis with Fat Fish, and our arrival time was a 1/2 hour after the ship was cleared. It felt like we were up at the crack of dawn waiting to get that first tender, only to find out island time is 1 hour behind the ship time. We now had an hour to kill, and no stores were open!

You should be more than fine... and the tender ride is pretty short.

Have fun!
