Cape Liberty to JFK?

What is the best way to get from Cape Liberty to JFK for a 2:00 p.m. flight home? Is it best to take a taxi to the Newark Airport and take the $24 pp shuttle to JFK? I see some car service is available but not sure of the cost. A few years ago we walked our luggage off and there was a van holding about 15 and charging $15 to the Newark airport but that was only one van and if the time we came off the ship did not coincide, perhaps a taxi would have been the only option. Unfortunately, I don't really know, but others will respond who do know.

 

You should price a car service like Dial7 or Carmellimo for starters.

 

The problem is that from Cape Liberty to JFK is the opposite direction from Cape Liberty to Newark Airport. The shuttle there is $16/pp, so with two people you're already talking a minimum of $80.

 

When exactly do you need to do this? There are a number of road reconstruction projects that are going to cause problems in the area over the next year+ - that could be a big factor.
