uilleann Posted April 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2014 My wife and I go to casinos every year or two and blow about $40 each on slots and then walk away till another year or so pasts. For our up coming cruise on the MS Amsterdam we thought.... Lets have more fun with this gambling stuff while on the cruise. So we have budgeted a few hundred dollars each and have been studying and practicing craps! But i just read that a few years ago that HAL pulled the craps tables from all of the smaller ships???? Not sure if the Amsterdam is one of those smaller ships? Anyone know if the MS Amsterdam Casino has a craps table?
cp556 Posted April 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2014 in case you may be interested in other games we have provided a list of all our casino games available on the Amsterdam for you below. Blackjack Fun 21 Blackjack Face Up Blackjack Roulette Caribbean Stud Poker Diamond Edition Three Card Poker Texas Hold?Em Slot Machines (1c,2c, 25c, $1, and $5) Thank you for posting that! It is very interesting and just may be useful :) BTW, on our October Ryndam cruise there were selected areas of the casino where smoking was permitted. Other areas were non-smoking. That casino was noticeably less smoky than on our previous cruises. Just my 2¢...
n0w0rn3v3r Posted April 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 18, 2014 uilleann - You didn't ask, but since you indicated that you play the slots, I'll just throw this out. From that list, go with Blackjack or 3 Card Poker. The slots on the ship can be a little tight (I have no information on if they are regulated or not). Fun 21 Blackjack and Face Up Blackjack are variations on the Blackjack theme. Fun 21 Blackjack, for me, has not been fun. If you can get $.25 roulette, and the max on the inside is $1, that might not be bad (it's actually my favorite, even though I know the odds are bad). But roulette does favor the house. These are just my opinions. Have a great cruise and spend your money the way you want to spend it. PS - I care.
Rare POA1 Posted April 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) But i just read that a few years ago that HAL pulled the craps tables from all of the smaller ships???? Not sure if the Amsterdam is one of those smaller ships? Anyone know if the MS Amsterdam Casino has a craps table? No, they didn't pull the craps tables from all the smaller ships. The tables aren't always open, but they do have them. Please note that this may have changed since our last cruise. BTW- I think your question mark button might be stuck. Mytime2014 Posted April 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2014 general question about the casino - do they open immediately or wait until after code orange? I have been to one "casino" in Oklahoma and did a few slot machine, so I figure I'll give it a try in 76 days.
serendipity1499 Posted April 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Hi Everyone...I would like to make a suggestion.. Unless you report rude or harassing posts to the Hosts, they will remain there.. IMO the rude posts do not deserve an answer, nor should we let them contaminate this boarde.. To report these posts click on the little exclamation point in the red triangle in the top right hand corner of the harassing post.. The hosts will look at the post & then decide if it should be removed or not.. Cheers & Happy Easter to all.. P.S. I reported the post but need help from those of you who think a post is rude!
