Sarah@Sea Posted April 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2014 I see the CC cabin overview of the Freedom cabins state each has a mini-fridge stocked with items (mini-bar), but from what I've read on other post most cruise ship cabins the fridge is not a fridge per se but just a chiller/cooler. SadieN Posted April 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Wouldn't trust milk in it but it's fine for soda and water.
cccer Posted April 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2014 It's pretty much a cooler and not a fridge. You can have the room steward remove the items, but I would not trust it for medicine or anything that needs to be at a certain temp. Heck it does not even keep beer very cold. Sarah@Sea Posted April 20, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Just planning on using it for soda...on other Carnival cruises I've either taken a cooler or cooler bag and the steward has been great with keeping it full of ice...but the cooler bag leaked a bit. Chiller will be nice enough...thanks.
k2excursion Posted April 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2014 On the Dream in January, the fridge actually was nice & cold, probably between 35 & 40 degrees. First time that's ever happened. We didn't really need the cooler. But the fridges are usually around 45-55.
