Hotels with views Port Everglades

I noticed the Hilton is quite a bit more expensive than the Hyatt for the night I need (Nov. 14), and there aren't any King Tower rooms available. The Embassy Suites is also very expensive that night. Does anybody know of anything going on that's causing hotels to book up and prices to spike? I was originally cruising on November 29th, and rooms were much less expensive for the 28th.

Hilton Marina on 17th St. GREAT hotel....plus walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, etc.

 

Also right across the street from the port.

We have booked into the Best Western Oceanside for next week.

We have the Hilton Marina pre cruise and the Embassy Suites post cruise. What should we do about transportation? There are 12 of us so renting a car like I usually do is more complicated this time.
