Should I change an inside for guarantee balcony?

I have a few hours to decide this.

If your neighbors go in and out on the balcony late at night, do u hear the door slamming?

Never have had a balcony... Anniversary trip too.

What about noise above and below? Are there bad balcony rooms? I've googled it and can't seem to find any.

Help!!

Is everything above a question?

What ship will you be on? I would absolutely do a balcony guarantee over an inside cabin. I don't think you'd hear any more noise from neighbors than you would in any other cabin.

Omg really... Sorry about the question marks...wow... I am on the freedom.

Then I would say, go for it! Only hesitation I would have would be a Spirit class ship, since they have some balcony cabins with obstructed views, but Freedom doesn't have those.

And even if Freedom did, I'd still probably go for it. ;) And have a blast on Freedom. If you check out John Heald's facebook page, he's posting lots of pictures of the current drydock. Lucky she's getting all the good 2.0 upgrades.

I would go for the balcony guarantee over an inside any day. Balcony door slamming wouldn't be a concern for me. Only bad location balcony was on the Triumph. I think we had a deck 6 mid-ship cabin and the live music on the promenade deck 5 by the casino was loud and clear in our room. Would still take that again over a quiet inside.

I just switched from inside to balcony guarantee for my freedom cruise June 1. Can't wait and will be happy with wherever I end up. Sitting on the balcony staring at the ocean....ahhhh!!!!

I did the same thing today for my Valor cruise. I was already planning to take earplugs just in case I have noisy neighbors because I am a super light sleeper. The chance to try a balcony was just too much fun!

The only problem with a balcony guarantee is you may get an obstructed view balcony and although you get used to looking at a lifeboat its hard to get used to maintenance workers doing work on those lifeboats

Absolutely...any balcony is better than an inside cabin. I did a guarantee balcony booking only once....got a room under the disco. Room vibrated so bad from the music, felt like I was in the disco. Next morning I called guest services and they moved us. So if you get a terrible room, ask to be changed...if there is a room available, they will move you

Okay, I called today and couldn't do it..I am too worried about being under the club or across from a noisy steward closet ( like I read one review on). But now, I may email and see if I can still get it as sale ends tomorrow. Thanks for the responses! The price difference is only $150

You're thinking of Spirit class ships. As I said above, there are no obstructed balcony cabins on Freedom and no balconies facing lifeboats.

Is it extra $$$$ to book the balcony guarantee??

That entirely depends. IF a guarantee is available for a particular sailing, it is generally cheaper than picking your own cabin in the same category. However, booking a balcony guarantee is generally more expensive than booking an interior cabin. That being said, it could be very close in price between picking your own interior/ocean view or booking a guarantee balcony.

oh my gosh. they disconnected me... calling back...this better not be a sign..almost 45 min now..i better love this balcony haha

I would see if you can be transferred to a PVP. They are better in situations like these.
