Shore Excursions w/ 7yo DS

Was wondering if there are really any shore excursions worth paying for we are going to Progreso, and Cozumel. We really enjoy just walking around and shopping in Cozumel. We have only been to Progreso once and we did a little shopping then found the beach and enjoyed it some. But we have never cruised with our DS before. Just looking for thoughts/ideas about shore excursions. Thanks.

A guidebook will let you see ALL there is to do in your ports....there may be something that would interest your child. If not, the beach is always fun for kids!

and then a bus

- we went was DD was 4 but I think she would have even more to do now.

we booked through the NCL but could have easily done it ourselves now we know where to go.
