cruisin'sz Posted July 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2005 Do robes come with all verandas or just the higher priced ones?
KalenaD Posted July 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2005 we traveled on the Zaandam in april and had a middle of the road outside cabin and had robes, I think (I may be wrong) but all Holland america cabins are supposed to have robes

tomc Posted August 1, 2005 #8 Share Posted August 1, 2005 Did it come with a pair of horns? ?? Like, right off the sheep?? Yes; it was to make sure we didn't scare them and start a stampede. We had to make sheep-bleating sounds all the time, too. As Ebenezer Scrooge said, when he landed in Maine, "Bah! Hahbah!"
JoyAnn Posted August 1, 2005 #9 Share Posted August 1, 2005 LOL, no I was trying to make a rather lame joke based on the word steer. ;-p ?? Like, right off the sheep?? Yes; it was to make sure we didn't scare them and start a stampede. We had to make sheep-bleating sounds all the time, too. As Ebenezer Scrooge said, when he landed in Maine, "Bah! Hahbah!" JimVrhovac Posted August 2, 2005 #10 Share Posted August 2, 2005 Anyone know when they are going to start setting out matching slippers. It is hard to color coordinate with a drab off white robe...... Jim
grannynurse Posted August 2, 2005 #11 Share Posted August 2, 2005 The only problem with robes is that some folks wear them all over the ship. I expect to some day see them on the wall of the photo gallery with the formal shots. GN
LesLebo Posted August 4, 2005 #12 Share Posted August 4, 2005 Yes, you get (two) robes no matter what cabin you are in, at least for the Westerdam. They were very comfortable. People did wear them to the spa and to the swimming pool, but it was better than seeing some naked people.:) Otherwise, one has to lug clothes up to the swimming area to change or drip all the way to your room. Anyway, since the robes were handsome and I didn't find anyone really abusing their use (i.e., no one wore them for formal nights!), it was many people's "day" uniform when going to and from the spa or pool, and it grew on me. Everyone has their own taste, but I've seen uglier getups.

Grumpy1 Posted August 5, 2005 #15 Share Posted August 5, 2005 Anyone know when they are going to start setting out matching slippers. It is hard to color coordinate with a drab off white robe...... Jim The matching white slippers were one of the "pillow gifts" that we received early on the 2005 World Cruise... Generic, though... no HAL logo embossed or embroidered on the toes... one size fits none...
