Statue Liberty tour from EWR Hotel! Help!

We just booked Celebrity Summit reposition to San Juan on Oct 19.. We fly in from STL on 17th. Staying at Country Inn and Suites in Elizabeth NJ. My only desires (Bucket List) is to visit Statue of Liberty while there. We have all day Saturday the Oct. 18. Can someone recommend a Tour that would pick us up from the hotel area and the price. Would it be cheaper to Taxi to SOL and then buy tour package? Any help appreciated.:)

There are no tours and a cab will probably be around $50 each way..

 

Your best bet would probably be to rent a car for the day........and drive over..

You can get to the SOL from Liberty State Park in NJ. Don't go from NYC.
