tinykygal Posted April 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2014 Hi all Finalizing our land/cruise and would be pleased to hear your recommendations on a clean and economical hotel/motel for our pre-trip overnight stay. We will be flying in and a free shuttle would be an extra perk. We can book with the hotel that Princess has booked us for our first night, but a bit pricey just to sleep. Thank you. CHEZMARYLOU Posted April 30, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2014 We are staying at the Courtyard Anchorage Airport. We get into Anchorage after 9PM and have a 12:30 flight to Fairbanks the next day. They offer a free shuttle to the airport. We've never stayed there but it is close to the airport, has a shuttle and we got a reasonable price. PandRBarry Posted April 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2014 We are booked at Coast International Inn near the airport and it has pretty good reviews and the rates were good too.

azevedan Posted April 30, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2014 I've stayed at the Courtyard before. It's a good choice. Good to know. We're using points to stay there overnight before heading down to Seward.
Rare genealogyfan Posted May 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) I had points but it was a nice hotel especially for a family. Free shuttle to/from the airport. Free parking and the rooms are pretty big - pull out sofa bed for kids and we got two queen or double sized beds. Indoor pool too. Thought it was really nice. Not near anything as far as stores, restaurants etc.. but good for an overnight near the airport. Also has a fridge and microwave and a free breakfast Edited May 2, 2014 by genealogyfan

CHEZMARYLOU Posted May 2, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 2, 2014 Is the Marriott in downtown Anchorage any good? Yes, we stayed there several years ago as part of our cruise tour. Mary Lou
Adarabba Posted May 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 3, 2014 If you are feeling a bit different... Try AirBnB.com. I have had excellent luck with them and have booked through them again for both Seattle and Anchorage.
