Seattle - Bottled Water/Soda

Recommended Posts

I will be staying at the Crown Plaza Seattle the night before my cruise. There does not seem to be a lot of retail around there. Am I crazy, but would like to get a case of bottled water and soda to bring on the ship with me. Is it going to be worth the hassle?

There looks to be a Target at 2nd and Union, but Seattle looks pretty hilly.

There is no reason to bring more than one refillable bottle of water per person on board. The ship's water is as pure as any bottled water, perhaps more pure, tastes great, is FREE, and doesn't come with a plastic waste problem.

I respect your opinion. However we would like bottled water and canned soda and plan to recycle the plastic/aluminum.

From the Crown Plaza to Target is about 1/2 mile down hill. So that makes the return trip 1/2 mile up hill. Walk a couple of blocks more and you'll be at Pike Place Market. Downtown Seattle is a very walkable even if you are not in good shape.

Y'know, they sell water and soda in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway as well.

If you're taking a cab to the cruise terminal (which one?) anyway, just have them swing by a grocery or convenience store en route and keep the meter running while you run in for your products.
