Hello all,

We enjoyed the band Oasis with Speedy & Christina on the Pride last year, does anyone know if they will continue with Seabourn. Thought they were great, very entertaining.

Yes. We experienced them some years back and have since sailed many times on the larger ships and find "The Bands" to be very lacking in the vitality and versatility of Oasis (and other Philipino bands we have seen). Whilst the "contrived" Bands may be technically good musicians, they clearly lack the cohesion and synergy of bands that have been together for some time. It seems that the purpose of The Band is to be better able to back other entertainers than entertain the guests in their own right.

 

But to answer you question, sorry, we don't know where they are now.

They were having fun on one of the Pride's final cruises in the Caribbean in February 2014. Not sure where they went after that.

I thought they said they were going straight from the Pride to the Legend some time before the Pride's final TA

They were on the Prides final two cruises. After that I do not know. It seems Seabourn for whatever reason doesn't want the duos on the Odyssey class ships, even though from everything I've read on these forums the little sisters duos blow the Odyssey 'musicians' out of the water.

Thanks for the updates. I'm glad they're staying with the line. Wish they were on the Quest for our next cruise!

We loved them on Spirit in 2011 and got a picture of Christina singing in the amphitheater in Epidaurus on our tour!

 

We are coming back on Spirit in October and hoping against hope that they will be there.
