3 Ships in Cozumel May 27th

Looking at Cruise TT, there will be 3 ships in Cozumel on May 27th with almost 10,000 passengers. Wonder how crowded the beach resorts will be? Navigator of the Seas, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Triumph are all scheduled to be there. Of course, that's much better than May 29th, when over 16000 cruise passengers will be in port. 2 CCL, 2 RCL, and a Princess.

We have been to Cozumel a couple of times. Both times there were three ships in port.

 

There are soooo many places to go in Cozumel....that no "one" place is crazy insane. (except the shops in port)

I was just in Cozumel with 4 ships docked including the massive Oasis of the Seas. It wasn't crazy busy at all.

Cozumel is very big and very spread out - it can absorb a lot of passengers.

Do you have a plan as to what you are going to do?

Yes, plan to go to Paradise Beach, or Mr Sanchos. Seems Paradise has more toys for the kids.

EXCELLENT. Paradise beach is WONDERFUL. Your children will love it. Even the pool is great. You are saving a lot of $$ also by going here. (no admission) and order as you please. Food is great by the way. Free use of the internet, great kids toys in the water. Shops ....Did you go to their website?

There were 7 ships in port the day we were there this past February.

Didn't really notice a difference as there are so many piers each with their own shopping area besides the "downtown" area.

3 ships and 10,000 people should not impact you that much in Cozumel.

Like most have said 3 ships would probably be considered a slow day. When I was there I think there were 8 ships.

Thanks to all. Yes, I've been on both Paradise and Mr Sanchos websites. Looks fun. Family of 6, with 24, 22, 19 and 10 yr old kids.

We had 8 ships in Cozumel on our last cruise and it still didn't feel overcrowded. Then there were 6 in Belize with the long tender rides they handled wonderfully. That's how I got started with cruising, was looking for a vacation that was good at handling the crowds during crowded vacation time (hint: Disney World ain one of em).

wish I had never looked , :( 5 ships in Cozumel :eek: oh wait we make 6 , guess I'll be making those shore excursions reservations sooner then I thought
