Are the balcony cabins stair stepped with this ship's design? If so, how can I find which decks are cover, partially covered or totally not covered. TIA:)

Yes. The sides of the Crown are tired. All balconies are covered except Caribe balconies which are half-covered/half-uncovered and Dolphin deck mini-suite balconies which are fully uncovered. Caribe balconies are the largest, larger than mini-suite balconies, and are usually preferred. Edited May 7, 2014 by Pam in CA

See above: all cabin balconies are covered except Caribe and Dolphin. That doesn't mean Aloha balconies are completely private since people on Caribe and Dolphin can look up and into the balconies plus officers/staff on the Bridge can see the balconies.
