Mkripke Posted August 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2005 What deck are the life boats on, what cabins do they obstruct?
CruisinCouple Posted August 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2005 Depends on the ship. You need to check the propper brouchure for the ship your interested in. They will tell you if the room has an obstructed view. AL

Tyler80 Posted August 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2005 I don't know if all the ships are the same, but on Explorer I think I remember the lifeboat drill was on deck 4 and the lifeboats hung above us on deck 5. My stateroom was on deck 6. So it would see they'd block deck 5 windows.
jwlane Posted August 1, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2005 Aside from Empress, I believe the lifeboats on all ships hang outside public area decks.
negc Posted August 1, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2005 On most newer ships the tenders are placed so that they block few if any staterooms. Check out pictures of the ships and the deckplans and you can make a determination of which, if any, staterooms are impacted by the tenders. Most deckplans also note specific cabins which have full or partial obstructions.
