i am cruising with a few girlfriends of mine on carnival fascination after a hellish divorce. he got all the credit cards,everything. can i deposit cash on my s&s card or do i have to have a credit or debt card?????

No problem at all with using cash for your S&S card. Once you're onboard just go to the purser's desk and they will set it up for you.

PS. Remember there is a minimum amount you have to put down in cash.

Cash works fine. Just know that you will get a message from the pursers desk when you get close to or meet the deposited amount. Have a great cruise!

You certainly can deposit cash and, on the last night, settle up at the Purser's Desk - either paying the balance or getting your refund. I know many cruisers who do this just to stick to their budget - even if they could have used credit cards.

Yes, our daughter put $300 on her own S&S card and the last night...around midnight they put a check under the door for the amount she didn't use.
