I am looking to book a Panama Canal full transit in 2016. When I go to look at deck plans it asks if I am cruising before or after Nov 2015. Will the Island be going in dry dock around that time?? Also, where do you find out which ships are being updated? Thanks!!

The Island is scheduled for a major dry dock in April 2015. It is guessed that they will add the International Cafe, redesign the Horizon Ct., make add some outside cabins. It is the chatter here on CC that the Universe Lounge on Decks 6 & 7 aft will be redesigned and that extra cabins will be added in this area. Since you plan to book after the dry dock then maybe you should ask Princess what if any changes will be made to cabin availability. I don't know why they use November 2015 as a cut off date, but maybe cabin classifications will change then.

if you choose 'after' the cut off do the deck plans look different? i'll maybe check that out in my spare (ha!) time. :)

We did the full transit last year and loved it. We got a covered mini suite in the 700 area. It was perfect! :)
