Where to get a bottle of wine in Fairbanks

Hi Everyone. We will be on the Crown Princess in June out of Alaska. We will begin our land portion of the vacation in Fairbanks and will be staying at the Bear Lodge. We thought we might save some money by buying a couple of bottles of wine to bring on board. Does anyone know of a place to buy wine within walking distance from the Bear Lodge? Thanks.

The College Road Safeway (Bentley Mall) would be the closest option, but remember that the Fountainhead Hotel properties have a shuttle which circulates around the town. I believe that their shuttle also stops at one (if not both) of the Fred Meyer stores, which would also be an option for wine purchase.
