Kat,,,when we boarded Divina last Saturday, there was a check in line for visitors. Not sure if you need to have certain credentials or if you can just show up and request a visitors pass. Once on board we did see the group being escorted around the ship by an MSC employee though.

Sailing on MSC Magnifica in September but couldn't wait to look round an MSC ship so hubby and I are having a day visit and lunch on board the Opera in Southampton on Monday. :)

I will be on at the same time! The Opera sails on a 12 night cruise but there are a fair few of us just on the one-night cruise to Amsterdam (roll call in my signature). We have loosely arranged to meet at 4pm on the stern of deck 11, on the open deck just outside the buffet, for a sail away party. I hope you will be on the quayside to wave us off. We'll be the ones with glasses in our hands.

Hi new one 1960....glad you enjoyed your "mini" cruise on the Opera and that you were impressed. The meal that you had onboard was it geared towards continental style or was there a slight British alternative. Also was the menu in many different languages...we too are on the Magnification in September... our first MSC cruise.

The menu was in different languages including English.

It was 7 course but you could have as much or as little as you liked.

I had seafood cocktail to start, then an iced coconut soup, pork with potato and green beans, then apricot tart.

Hubby had same starter and pudding with then pie, mash & brocolli for mains, but it was served without gravy!

There were other options including pasta, hot soup, beef etc

It was a nice menu.

We walked though the buffet and that looked good too. Plenty of salads and meats, but also a couple of curries.

Menus are always in multiple languages.you can only expect some British alternatives on UK sailings, otherwise not at all.
