WWCJR Posted May 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Yesterday we received an email from Princess for Houston Cruisers. When I started checking the prices I discovered that they are adding several NEW Itineraries... some the same as present then some that exchange Costa Maya for Rotan, some that skip Cozumel and do Costa Maya, Belize City and Rotan, some that do Grand Cayman, Cost Maya, and Cozumel. Check it out on there website. This will sure make it look better handling than doing the same old itinerary over and over.

Skai Posted May 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2014 I've also recently noticed the new variety in these W. Carib. sailings. It would be nice if Princess added some 10+ day sailings as well. I've been strongly considering sailing out of Bayport since Princess moved from Galveston (w/ is logistically more difficult for us)...However, having learned about all of the issues with fog during the winter causing delays and ports to be missed on certain sailings, I'm still wary of booking yet. I understand that weather is never predictable, but as a Texas resident(OP), can you give me a rough window of when the fog can be a consistent wintertime issue at Houston's port, so that I can look to avoid those particular months? But fog is a result of water temperature, air temperature, and humidity. It CAN occur almost any time but is more common in winter. Less likely in spring. lovevacadays Posted May 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Nice that Roatan is on the itinerary. It is one of my favorite ports.:):):) It is good that Princess is mixing it up a bit.
ITK79 Posted May 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2014 While the fog is an issue and really out of anyone's control, the port of Houston and Princess got better dealing with it. In the last few months that they were in Houston they didn't have delays due to fog and late arrivals. The captain and the port stayed in contact and if fog looked like it could be an issue the ship would hurry back to be in port late night Friday. I would think that this will be the standard practice for the upcoming season too. Sent from my SGP312 using Tapatalk

Coming from central Texas, new itineraries from Houston are of great interest, and may be more of an incentive to consider a B2B cruise. Unfortunately we did not get an email. When are these new cruises supposed to start?
