geogran Posted May 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2014 Anyone stay in or near cabin 8548 -category D8..outside balcony. Since it is so far forward, could feel a lot of ship motion? Is bed next to balcony or nearer to door? Booked this because midship was $800 more for two of us and thought that was a little pricey. Thanks for any info. On our January, 2014 Allure sailing we didn't feel any motion on any portion of the ship. As a matter of fact, it felt that we were in a land based resort at all times. It was hard to tell if the ship was pulling away from pier or still docked. We had to find a landmark and judge by distance from the ship to tell whether it started moving. We were on deck 8 midship. You will love this cruise. Enjoy.
