yes you can-well we were allowed,we booked Baltic heritage for june 2014 way back in early October 2013 and paid normal deposit as we had no cruise credits left, later in the month October 13 we had a med cruise and bought 2 credits each.we rang princess in UK on return from med cruise, we hadn't paid final payment yet for Baltic cruise (due march 14) they allowed us to cancel and rebook Baltic cruise using the future cruise credit in the same cabin immediately on telephone ,same price and also still applied deposit we had already pre-paid so less balance in end too.the only problem princess could see and warned us is we could during that brief cancellation/rebook period about 2 minutes you can lose cabin you may want to remain in.plus we got a price drop of 200 pounds each in January 2014 too so I would buy and try-nothing to lose
